Week 5.5 – Is that a house I see?
Yes, A slightly unusual week title but as we had a lot of pictures to share so we thought it was worth a mid-week update.
The delivery of the remainder of our SIPS panels happened on schedule on Monday but unfortunately weren’t unloaded until the afternoon due to the space limitations on site.
It was all hands on deck to position the side panels 1st of all so this gave us enough room for the other bits to be unloaded. 2 days later this is how it looks:
Not the prettiest of pictures but we thought it would show a real change from this to fully erected frame in just over a week.
Here is a shot from the same angle we normally take them, where you can see the side frame going up. Next week this shot won’t be much to look at as it will just be a timber wall.
Here is view of side wall showing the actual panels with cladding overlaid
And the view from over the fence on the top side as you can start to see the house rising up out of the site
So all of what you see here will soon come together in what looks more like a house.
And finally, here are all our roof panels stacked nicely on what will one day be our garden.
More pictures to follow and next time we should be able to take a few shots from ‘within’ the house as we start to get a sense of what the internal space will be like…
