Prince Charles gets his own Eco-Home
A group of young, aspiring designers have just come up with a Eco Property specially designed for Prince Charles. To be precise, the property was showcased at the Ideal Home Exhibition in London just last week, as a result of the team of designers winning a competition organised by his Foundation for Building Community.
For the designers in question I think this has enabled an unrivalled opportunity to be a part of a building design requirement which will very much lead the way in the not too distant future. Eco sustainable building will only become more and more of a property development requirement as time goes on. For the lucky designers who’s design was chosen, this is must be something not too far short of a massive accomplishment and achievement.
To say you were one of the designers will only help in developing a successful career in time to come; after all it would have been so much easier to have approached and given the project to a professional team of architects / building designers. The winners were the trio of: Douglas Ardern, Jamie Wallace and Ruaridh Inverarity.
I think for any aspiring new architect / designer, the route of competing to get your name noticed could be a great new means to making a positive name in the industry. Likewise, to get input from this level will only go to show how much importance “Eco-Friendly” property will now go on to have.
