Earth Hour – this weekend!
If you haven’t done already you need to add this important global event to your weekend diary. It is more than just being about the hour but if nothing else then from 8.30 – 9.30pm on Saturday night March 23rd you need to be spending it in darkness!
Earth Hour is the single, largest, symbolic mass participation event in the world. Born out of a hope that people could be mobilized to take action on climate change, Earth Hour now inspires a global community of millions of people in 7,001 cities and towns across 152 countries and territories to switch lights off for an hour as a massive show of concern for the environment.
Earth Hour has now become much more than a symbolic action. It has evolved into a continuous movement driving real actions, big and small, that are changing the world we live in.
